long weekend.

Winter is in full swing over here, and the best place to get a blast of cold weather is up in the Blue Mountains. David and I headed up there for the long weekend, we spent most of our time eating cake in front of the fire at his parents house and out exploring taking photos.

On Sunday we drove out towards Tarana for a family lunch, and on the way home we made friends with an emu. The next day was super misty and chilly – the clouds were just sitting in the valley. It was pretty spectacular and eerie at the same time. Sydney never gets properly cold, so it was satisfying to put on a wooly scarf and chunky coat.

  1. Just beautiful. I love the crisp air, and the way the mist hangs low in the valley! What a fabulous getaway you had 🙂

    • Thanks! It was lovely – never thought I’d be craving the cold air but after our steaming hot summer it’s so nice to have some moody winter days.
