review: ona palma bag

I like handbags. I like really nice handbags. So it’s always annoyed me that I have to carry my cameras in something that I would never usually look twice at. For ages I’ve had my eye out for the perfect leather camera bag that looked gorgeous and was functional.

Enter the Ona Palma bag. As with all amazing bags, as soon as I saw it I knew it was the one. At over $300 it is definitely an investment, but so worth it. The leather is buttery soft and the colour is gorgeous. It also seems incredibly well made. I love that you can’t immediately tell it is a camera bag, as I prefer to not openly advertise the fact that I am carrying round stuff that someone might want to rob!

Delivery was incredibly fast,Β I ordered it on a Friday – it made it all the way from the US to Australia and arrived on the Monday! By far the quickest I have ever had from overseas.

It got it’s first use this weekend and I couldn’t be happier. I took it on a camping trip out to the bush. It fits loads inside, the soft grey padding is great, and the two partitions are movable making the interior very versatile. I can easily fit both cameras, purse and peripherals – and when I am only carrying one camera there is absolutely heaps of room for other stuff, including my gorilla pod. There is even a pocket to fit an iPad. You can tell that it will wear really nicely, and that it will probably look better with age.

Overall, I am very pleased – I’m positive I’ll be using it for years.
